The final quality of additively manufactured components is strongly dependent on the quality of powder feedstock which influences process stability, porosity and ultimately mechanical properties as well. Precise control of powder quality is crucial, especially when metal powders are reused. Rheometry is an excellent tool to describe powder flow behavior – particle size analysis plays a key role in control of both the powder degradation and sieving processes.

Dr. Helena Weingrill will lead you through the Powder Rheology workshop comprising theoretical and practical sessions. After obtaining her PhD in polymer science at Montanuniversitaet Leoben in Austria with a special focus on material characterization, she joined Anton Paar in 2019. As global product manager for Powder rheology, she has specialized in the rheological characterization of powders of all kinds.
Dr. Mateusz Skalon works as a product manager for Particle Characterization and Surface Charge department at Anton Paar. He graduated in Materials Engineering / Powder Metallurgy at the Cracow University of Technology, Poland and earned a PhD in Powder Metallurgy before Joining Anton Paar.
