Studying the Flow Behavior of Nanostructured Materials with RheoSAXS
The combination of rheology and small-angle X-ray scattering can relate structural changes directly to the rheological behavior of liquid samples. This is of special interest in the fields of medicine, pharmaceuticals, and functional materials. Viscosity of materials often defines their applicability and manufacturability. So it's important to understand the structural changes of such materials under shear, for the optimization of related products.
Anton Paar has combined two of the most sophisticated devices on the market, the SAXSpoint 5.0 system and a unique RheoSAXS measurement set-up using the DSR 502 rheometer, allowing precise analysis of such materials. This webinar will provide an overview of the hardware and an introduction to the application.
Webinar content:
- Introduction of the unique RheoSAXS measuring set-up integrated into the SAXSpoint 5.0 system
- Updates to the RheoSAXS module
- Selected application examples showing the potential and benefits of combined rheo-scattering analysis
Target group:
- Beginners to experts in small-angle X-ray scattering
- Anyone interested in the characterization of nanostructured materials
- Anyone interested in analyzing the rheological behaviour of materials
Dr. Andreas Keilbach obtained his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Munich, with a focus in porous materials. After his PhD studies, he joined Anton Paar in April 2011 and is currently part product manager for small-angle X-ray scattering at Anton Paar GmbH.
