Instrumented Indentation Testing of Polymers: Advantages and Limitations
Polymeric materials have traditionally been characterized by large scale test instruments such as tensile testing or compression. As more polymeric materials and polymer-based surface treatments have been developed over the years, the need for the use of more localized testing methods such as nanoindentation has increased.
This webinar will explore the advantages of nanoindentation and its reliability of data as compared to other well-known methods such as tensile testing and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) on amorphous and semi-crystalline polymers.
