Gas Pycnometer for Semi-Solid and Solid Density:
Ultrapyc
- Top-tier model dedicated to small volumes, with built-in and customizable methods
- Accurate results for very low sample amounts (from 0.1 cm³ to 10 cm³)
- PowderProtect: No instrument contamination
- Built-in Peltier temperature control from 3 °C to 60 °C – no external bath required
- Perfect for R&D and limited-quantity materials
We’ve combined decades of knowledge with groundbreaking innovation to make Ultrapyc the most user-friendly semi-solid and solid density gas pycnometer on the market.
With Ultrapyc’s quick method selection and integrated accessories, go from receiving the sample, to conducting a measurement, to examining the results on the touchscreen or in Anton Paar’s AP Connect lab execution system in under three minutes. Ultrapyc can perform measurements alone in under a minute, making it perfect for controlling the quality of your samples throughout the manufacturing process.
Conducting density measurements of solid pieces, powders, slurries, and semi-solids has never been faster or more accurate.
Key features
Automate for accuracy
Instruments in the Ultrapyc series automatically select optimal settings and precisely control temperature, eliminating the need for manual adjustments and reducing the risk of user error. Paired with the TruLock lid, which guarantees a consistent and reproducible chamber volume, Ultrapyc gas pycnometers deliver the highest accuracy available in solid and semi-solid density analysis.

Measure any sample with confidence
Ultrapyc gas pycnometers from Anton Paar handle challenging samples better and accommodate a wider range of sample materials (e.g., pellets, slurries, foams) than comparable instruments.
- Disposable cups enable quick, mess-free measurement of difficult substances like bitumen, eliminating cleaning effort.
- The patented PowderProtect feature enables safe analysis of powders and volatile slurries without risking damage to the instrument.
- A wide selection of sample cells and integrated analysis methods further simplify workflows, making the Ultrapyc series the go-to solution for complex density measurements.

Work fast, save time
With the Ultrapyc, you can go from sample preparation to measurement to result in under three minutes. Quick method selection and seamlessly integrated accessories streamline every step, delivering rapid, reliable results with minimal effort.

Optimize scarce resources with the Ultrapyc 7000 Micro gas pycnometer
The Ultrapyc 7000 Micro is the most accurate and advanced small-volume gas pycnometer on the market. Preserve scarce samples and protect valuable materials with market-leading small-volume measurements down to just 0.02 cm³ – ideal for high-cost or limited-availability substances.

Take control of temperature regulation in gas pycnometer measurements
Ultrapyc instruments feature a market-leading temperature range from 3 °C to 60 °C. With temperature control accurate to ±0.02 °C, Ultrapyc ensures fast stabilization and reliable results for slurries, suspensions, gels, or any other material – delivering reliable results for even the most temperature-sensitive samples.
