Reproducible Skeletal Density Using the Ultrapyc 3000
To illustrate the use of the Ultrapyc 3000 for a variety of materials, reproducible measurements on food, metal powders, and other solid samples such as concrete, are reported.
Introduction
Five samples, representing a range of applications, were measured on the Ultrapyc 3000. From solid concrete cores to fine flour powder, gas pycnometry using the Ultrapyc 3000 gave repeatable and accurate results for different materials. In fact, remarkable repeatabilities, < 0.01% for all samples, were observed using the Ultrapyc 3000.
