Material Brief: Adhesive - True Density - Ultrapyc

An adhesive was analyzed using helium gas on the Ultrapyc 5000. The true density was measured.

Adhesives, which are considered semisolids, are commonly used in our everyday life. Customers expect the product to have the same consistency and properties each time they use the adhesive. Skeletal density may be useful as an indicator for maintaining this quality and consistency of the formed final product in every batch.

The Anton Paar Ultrapyc 5000, a temperature-controlled gas pycnometer, was used to measure the true density of an adhesive. The instrument is easily and repeatably capable of handling the semisolid nature of the adhesive.
