Material Brief: Cranberry Sauce - True Density - Ultrapyc
Cranberry sauce was analyzed using nitrogen gas on the Ultrapyc 5000. The true density was measured.
An important property of canned goods is the true density, which can be correlated to solids content, used to determine the homogeneity from batch to batch, or needed to optimize the packaging. The Anton Paar Ultrapyc 5000 was used to analyze the true density of a store-bought can of cranberry sauce. The instrument is easily and repeatably capable of handling the “slurry-like” nature of the sauce.
