Available test modes

Single-drive operation:

  • Combined Motor Transducer mode (CMT, Searle mode)
  • Lower motor is removed

Works as known from the established MCR series, incorporating the entire range of MCR measuring and environmental systems

TwinDrive operation:

  • Separate Motor Transducer mode (SMT, Couette mode)

    • Upper motor stands still at a fixed position and is working as a torque transducer while the lower motor is used to deform the sample

  • Counter-rotation/counter-oscillation mode

    • Both motors operate as drive units and torque transducers and can rotate or oscillate in opposite directions.

Upgradable with a linear drive

  • You can use an additional linear drive instead of the lower EC motor
  • This allows Dynamic Mechanical Analysis in bending, tension, and torsion
  • Combinable with various geometries for DMA such as three-point-bending, cantilever, and the Solid Rectangular Fixture
