Anton Paar USA, world leader in rheological instrumentation and services, has an immediate opportunity available for a Technical Sales Representative in the Northwest of the United States. The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for direct sales of Anton Paar rheology and surface potential analysis products and services to customers in the Northwestern territory.


Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must also be capable of communicating equally well with Ph.D.-level scientists and QC technicians. The ability to work independently and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction are essential for success. Frequent overnight travel is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities include both, the effective management of existing customer accounts and the generation of new accounts through lead follow up and direct sales of laboratory instrumentation used in a wide range of fields including biotechnology, commercial plastics, defense, cosmetics and personal care products, and government and academic laboratories.
  • The Technical Sales Representative also visits customer sites on a regular basis to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations and train customers on the correct use of their equipment.

Qualifications:

  • The preferred candidate will possess a B.S. degree in chemistry, engineering, physics or similar field and at least 5 years of experience in technical sales of analytical instrumentation; prior rheology sales experience is a plus.
