SAXSess - The Tool for Nanostructure Analysis
Details

Wide linear detection range

The imaging-plate system offers a linear dynamic range of about 5 decades for Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) investigations.

Temperature- controlled sample holders

The versatile sample holders for the SAXSess can be used for the investigation of almost any type of sample. The temperature can be controlled from –150°C up to 300°C.

Outstanding Resolution

A collimation block produces a narrow primary beam that allows you to separate the scattering from the primary beam down to very low angles.

Fast switch between line and point collimation

The instrument can be switched into point-collimation mode quickly and easily. In this mode oriented samples can also be measured.

Data evaluation software

A powerful software package for Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) data acquisition and data evaluation is supplied with the SAXSess. Data evaluation contains basic data handling (averaging, background subtraction, etc.), modelling, desmearing and fitting.

Typical applications:

  • Particle shape
  • Internal structure of particles
  • Surface-to-volume ratio, porosity
  • Molecular weight, aggregation number
  • Degree of crystallinity
  • Particle size distribution
