Stabinger Viscometer SVM 3000
Details

The fastest precision viscometer ever

Virtually no installation, a cold start-up time beginning from 3 minutes to the first result and a maximum sample throughput of 20 per hour make the SVM 3000 unmatched among single-cell precision viscometers.

No change of capillaries - one measuring cell covers the whole viscosity range

With its range from < 1 up to 20 000 mm²/s, the measuring cell of the SVM 3000 covers a range requiring 13 conventional capillaries. Whatever sample - opaque or transparent, low viscous or high viscous - just fill it into the SVM 3000 and obtain a result while others are still choosing the correct capillary.

No water bath, no liquid-in-glass thermometers

Cascaded Peltier elements plus sophisticated electronics allow a wide temperature range and high heating and cooling rates. The Pt-100 probe, the solid copper casing and the foam insulation make the SVM 3000 the best thermostatted viscometer on the market.

Minimal lab space and low power consumption

50 W power consumption and 0.25 m² bench-top space make it easy to install an SVM 3000, even in crowded laboratories. Furthermore, the SVM 3000 does not need to be levelled and can therefore be moved easily if required.

Equivalent precision and no bias to ASTM D445

An international study was carried out to compare the SVM 3000 to the established ASTM D445 test method. Ten base oil samples were tested in 12 independent laboratories and the results show that the precision is equivalent and that there is no significant bias to the reference method.
