Alcohol Meters

The new way to measure alcohol

Anton Paar has developed a patented method for alcohol determination (US 6,690,015; AT 406711). There are different Alcolyzer models which can be used to measure:

Wine, sparkling wine, cider: "Alcolyzer Wine"
Beer: "Alcolyzer Plus Beer"
Whisky, cognac, brandy, vodka, gin, rum, tequila:
"Alcolyzer Plus Spirits"

No influence from sample constituents

The patented Alcolyzer method is based on near infrared absorption, measuring in a highly alcohol-specific spectral range. This essentially eliminates the influence of other sample constituents on the measurement.

No long waiting times in the morning

All the Alcolyzers are ready for operation after a 10 minute start-up time so you don't waste valuable measuring time waiting for instrument setup.

Tired of time-consuming calibration and adjustment?

This new measuring method does not require the sample-specific adjustment and calibration procedures needed by traditional NIR-based instruments. Just adjust with distilled water and a water/ethanol mixture.

No fuss thermo- statting

There is no water bath, so no need to set the temperature manually as is the case with some systems. The integrated Peltier thermostat ensures accurate and automatic control of the temperature saving you time and worry.
