Anton Paar Canada, one of the world leaders in laboratory equipment and services, has an opportunity available for a Technical Sales Representative for laboratory density and viscosity products for the Western Canada territory. This territory consists of Alberta and British Columbia.

The successful candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and must be capable of communicating equally well with Ph.D.-level scientists and QC technicians. The ability to work independently and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction are essential for success. Frequent overnight travel is required.

Responsibilities
|
| |
The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for direct sales of Anton Paar laboratory equipment and services to customers in the Western Canada territory. Primary responsibilities include both the effective managements of existing customer accounts and the generation of new accounts through lead follow up and direct sales of laboratory instrumentation used in a wide range of applications. The Technical Sales Representative also visits customer sites on a regular basis to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations and train customers on the correct use of their equipment.

Required qualifications

The preferred candidate will possess a B.S. degree in chemistry, engineering, physics or similar field and at least 5 years of experience in technical sales of analytical instrumentation.

Responsibilities
|

Responsibilities include: direct sales of Anton Paar on-line products; effective territory management; maintaining contact with existing customers; generating new accounts. Technical Sales Representatives will also visit customers to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations and train customers on the correct use of the Anton Paar equipment. The position reports to the Sales Manager for Process Instruments.
