RheoOptics - Rheo-SANS Small-Angle Neutron Scattering

Synchrotron beam lines have been growing in numbers during recent years due to the increasing interest in nanotechnology. Apart from static nanostructure analysis, a further area of interest for material research is the influence of shear. The convection-heated Rheo-SANS system enables the combination of SANS and rheological measurements in concentric cylinder and parallel plate geometries, measurements of solid samples, as well as extensional rheometry at temperatures up to 200 °C.

Technical highlights

  • Neutron scattering measurements simultaneous to rheological measurements
  • Concentric cylinder, parallel plate, extensional, and solid measurements
  • Transparent concentric cylinder system with convection heating for measurements up to 200 °C
  • Quartz glass cylinder for SANS measurements
  • Beam line and detector not included in delivery
