The behavior of powders is influenced by a multitude of internal and external factors which can make it difficult to predict how they will behave during processing or storage. Internal factors that will influence a powder are for example the particle size and particle size distribution, the morphology and surface area. External factors are factors which stem from the environment – such as temperature, humidity and degree of consolidation.
