Join us for an exclusive seminar dedicated to state-of-the-art technologies in polymer processing and analysis to optimizing every step. Modern polymer processing is a highly intricate, multi-step workflow that requires precise control at every stage — from raw material selection to final product testing. Variability in polymers, additives, processing conditions, and quality requirements presents significant challenges for manufacturers. Even minor deviations can lead to material waste, production inefficiencies, and costly product defects.

In collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), Anton Paar experts will present innovative solutions that connect material structure, properties, and performance.

Highlights of the program include:

• From Structure to Function: Understanding Materials with SAXS - We show how Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) can help you uncover the structure of your materials to better understand their function. Going one step further, we highlight how combining SAXS with rheology (Rheo-SAXS) can link your material structure with its mechanical properties.
• How in-situ spectrometry enhances your rheometer, extruder or synthesis reactor to understand molecular processes within the sample - Monitor crystallization, melting, mixing, phase transition, chemical reactions and more on molecular level during extrusion, rheological experiments and synthesis reactions using our Cora 5001 Raman spectrometer with external fiber probe. Finalize the analysis using our benchtop FTIR Lyza 7000.
• Polymer Characterization through Rheology – Explore new approaches and solutions for understanding flow and deformation behavior.
• Measuring intrinsic viscosity for optimized plastic processing - Dilute solution viscometry is a great solution for determining important properties of polymers such as intrinsic viscosity, helping to detect changes in their structural behavior. Discover how our Lovis 2001 rolling-ball viscometer can deliver fast and precise polymer-specific viscosity parameters.
