With a technical background that includes a Master’s degree in Technical Chemistry and a PhD in Technical Physics (both from TU Graz), combined with several years of practical experience as a Quality Manager at one of Anton Paar’s production sites, I have a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of what Anton Paar needs for a robust quality management system. This expertise paved the way for me to take over the leadership of the Integrated Management Systems (IMS) department at Anton Paar’s headquarters in 2024.
The IMS department is part of the “Integrated Processes and Quality” (IPQ) business area and ensures a seamless focus on developing and maintaining processes that meet the requirements of certified standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001) as well as internal company and customer-specific requirements. We work closely with process owners every day to maintain and further develop the documentation of the company’s process-based management system. Our work includes assessing whether processes can be executed across different sites. We also ensure smooth and effective interaction between locations. Internal and external audits continuously confirm the effectiveness of our integrated management system.
At Anton Paar, quality always comes first. We support the production and product development departments with quality methods for continuous improvement and sustainable issue resolution. In addition, we define the foundations and promote advanced initiatives to improve product quality across all product lines. These activities are frequently based on thorough data analysis, monitoring, and the application of standardized improvement methodologies.
At the heart of our work is cross-functional collaboration – one of the aspects I value most in my role. My daily task – and above all, my motivation – is to support the company, but especially my colleagues who share my passion for system- and process-based thinking, as we work together to enhance our product quality.
