Nanoindentation of Soft Materials
Over the past several decades, indentation has been a method primarily used for testing hard materials. When it comes to soft materials, relative and absolute hardness measurements present unique challenges. As the fields of polymer chemistry and biotechnology become increasingly developed, a method for quantifying soft materials’ mechanical properties is of high importance. This webinar will present special considerations for indentation of soft materials.
Warren Denning is a Product Specialist for the indentation / scratch / tribology and AFM instruments of Anton Paar USA. Warren received his Bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is responsible for assisting users with questions on theory, instrumentation, and experimental design.
