Purifying wastewater embraces removal of unwanted particles as well as the addition of substances to adjust water parameters such as the pH value or conductivity. Within the wastewater cleaning process flocculation agents or coagulants, are added in order to induce aggregation of particulate matter, to easily be removed by filtration, sedimentation or flotation. Particle Size and Zeta potential measurements are useful tools to monitor the wastewater treatment process but also to optimize the coagulant dosing.
