Are you new to the field of powder characterization? Or have you been involved for some time and would like to learn more about this fascinating topic? In any case, this workshop provides you with answers to all of your questions related to the characterization of powders and particles.
The workshop will include seminars covering both theoretical and practical aspects of powder characterization as well as practical (live demo) and Q&A parts. It will focus on powder rheology as well as particle sizing by dynamic light scattering and laser diffraction. Insights into zeta potential measurements of suspensions and solid surfaces will also be given.
Our goal is that by the time you leave the workshop, you will be able to:
• Understand the basic theory associated with powder rheology, particle sizing, and zeta potential determination
• Know when it makes sense to use a particular method
• Know how to solve your application and why you want to perform these tests
• Know how the devices are handled and how to run a measurement
The workshop will be held online and will combine theory, real-life applications, live measurements, and Q&A.

Timothy Aschl is the global product manager for powder rheology at Anton Paar since 2017. He holds a PhD in chemistry from the École Polytechnique, France where he researched biosensors. His Master’s degree in technical physics was obtained from the Technical University of Graz, with a focus on biofuels.
Giorgia De Matteis ist Anwendungsspezialistin für Partikelanalyse und Oberflächenladung. An der Technischen Universität Graz absolvierte sie ihr Masterstudium in Chemie- und Pharmatechnik. Vor ihrer Tätigkeit bei Anton Paar forschte sie im Bereich Nano-/Mikropartikel an der Karl-Franzen-Universität Graz.
