Nothing shapes a company like the people that work for it. Their ideas, skills, expertise, talents, and characters are the puzzle pieces which make up the success of Anton Paar.
The Human Resources department is at the center of many topics revolving around our colleagues. Our tasks range from staff planning, recruiting, providing training and further education, accounting, and the settling of labor law matters. We are in charge of choosing the right channels for employee searches, finding the best candidates, telling them about Anton Paar, organizing an enjoyable onboarding process, and supporting our colleagues in their own personal development. All of this and also a smooth processing of administrative tasks such as payroll and travel expense accounting as well as giving friendly and quick support whenever questions arise (e.g. working hours, labor rights), and the professional organization of the offboarding processes fall under the responsibilities of HR.
This is especially exciting due to our international orientation. Here in the headquarters in Graz we are also the contact partners for the HR responsibles in our subsidiaries worldwide. In short, our department is very people-oriented, which is something I really appreciate about my job. I have always liked to work with people, observing their development and growth, and supporting them on their journeys.
In HR we are confronted with the question of what we can offer future employees as a company every day. We place great value on making sure that expressions like contribution, self-responsibility, further development, and sustainability are not just empty phrases but values that have real meaning at Anton Paar.
Matching the right talents with the right jobs has become a huge challenge in our fast-paced age. In our high-tech company the entry requirements can be very specific and finding a suitable candidate often feels like finding a needle in a haystack. But this is exactly the challenge that I love and even after countless job interviews I still enjoy getting to know new people and learning more about their professional backgrounds.
