These are gloomy prospects for the future presented to us by the environmental organization GLOBAL 2000: in 2050, there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish. There are already 150 million tons of plastic floating in the ocean. Up to 12 million tons are added annually. And the trend is rising. Alarming figures that encouraged Anton Paar Thailand to organize a sustainability workshop. Together with the private environmental organization OurLand and representatives of the first Refill Store in Thailand, measures were taken to reduce the daily waste and separate it correctly. In order to do so, a waste separation system was set up in the office with clear instructions which trash goes into which bin, thereby increasing its recyclability. In addition, employees received a starter set with reusable bamboo straws, cutlery, and a reusable shopping bag.

Of course, one environmental workshop will not save the world, but it can be a valuable contribution as every step counts. It would be greatly appreciated if each and every one of us makes just one small contribution – together we can achieve more!
