Passive Heating Elements
- Accessory for microwave reaction systems
- Made of sintered silicon carbide (SiC) to provide high microwave absorbance and excellent heat capacity
- Purchase once and reuse again and again
- Chemically inert and easy to clean
The cylindrically shaped passive heating elements are made of sintered silicon carbide (SiC). Due to its high microwave absorbance and excellent heat capacity, SiC can be used to efficiently heat low-absorbing solvents (toluene, dioxane, THF…) in a microwave environment. The heating elements are inert, stable and virtually re-usable for an unlimited amount of times.
