Backstage: Order Logistics, Export & Shipping

In 2001, I joined the company as one of around 400 employees working in order processing and invoicing. Thanks to my graduation from the commercial academy (Handelsakademie) and the associated business- and foreign-language-oriented training, my potential matched the requirements exactly.

Over the years, the department evolved repeatedly due to the success and growth of Anton Paar GmbH and the necessary restructuring that came with it. I have always remained committed to my responsibilities, as every day continues to offer an immense range of challenges and variety.

In a dynamic global economy, one never stops learning in a globally successful company, and every day holds potential for further development. The specialist knowledge of my dedicated and competent team runs like a common thread through the entire Order Logistics division.

Order Processing is primarily responsible for the correct and timely creation and handling of orders. The team also maintains customer master data, prepares quotations, creates return orders, manages the monthly calculation of commissions, and handles the processing of special payment methods within the framework of documentary and letter-of-credit transactions.

In the Packaging department, our entire product portfolio is professionally packaged to ensure that goods arrive safely to customers. Every shipment from Anton Paar GmbH passes through the hands of our colleagues – whether using standard packaging or combining multiple orders into a single shipment. Everything is professionally prepared for global transport to prevent damage and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Afterwards, the colleagues in Export & Shipping take over. With their experience in shipping and specialized customs expertise, they prepare all shipment documentation for destinations around the world. Delivery notes, invoices, customs documents, and special certificates are created to ensure that products reach our business partners and end customers on time and in the required quality.

I am proud to be responsible for this area, as the work brings me joy and variety every single day. Working in this division of a globally successful and dynamic company means facing new challenges and tasks all the time.
