I’ve been employed at Anton Paar since 2000, and so I have witnessed first-hand the development of a company with 250 employees into an international corporate group. The constant growth has made ongoing restructuring, renewal, and change necessary. And so there’s always variation and excitement, even if, like me, you’ve always been employed in the same area.
My education as an export trade professional and my affinity for languages made me a perfect fit for work in order logistics and export. Early on, I specialized in working with letters of credit. And I took this task with me when I was offered the position as manager of the newly formed order processing department.
In order processing, we’re primarily responsible for the correct and timely handling of orders. These must undergo careful commercial scrutiny with regard to prices, offers, conditions of delivery and payment, special conditions, etc. – which always create challenges since we constantly have a variety of special sales offers. Precision and expertise are required. My dedicated and competent team ensures the high quality of the orders and satisfaction on the part of the customers.
In addition to the maintenance of customer master data, we’re also responsible for quotations and return orders as well as the correct maintenance and the monthly calculation of commissions. Big end-customer orders require secure and resource-intensive payment methods. In such cases, we also handle export and set up bank documents for cash against documents and letter-of-credit business.
The varied requirements and wishes of the customers and the repeated process optimizations and renewals ensure that it never gets boring.
I personally really like working in an international context and the contact with colleagues from the subsidiaries and the distribution partners across the world. Additionally, at Anton Paar, you know you’re working in a flourishing, always-developing company. This provides security, and I really appreciate it.
