Milk standardization is one of the most critical process steps in dairy production. Natural variations in the composition of incoming raw milk require continuous adjustment of the fat content to ensure consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient use of valuable milk components. Rapid and reliable process measurements are therefore essential to minimize product giveaway, reduce off-specification production, and maintain stable manufacturing conditions.

Inline density sensors provide continuous monitoring of the standardization process. The milk fat content is determined from the measured density either by using one density sensor or two density sensors installed in different process lines. This enables real-time control of the standardization process and immediate process adjustments.
