Data protection in the application process
This application platform is operated by Anton Paar GmbH. It is used to send applications to Anton Paar GmbH and the companies belonging to the Anton Paar Group. The data you submit will be used exclusively for your application process.
Anton Paar GmbH undertakes to comply with all data protection regulations applicable and ensures that all companies in the Anton Paar Group comply equally with the legal requirements. Generally recognized technical security standards are used to secure all data used by the Anton Paar Group as part of the application process in order to ensure the best possible protection against misuse, loss or falsification.
1. Processing of your data
You expressly agree that the data transmitted in the course of the online application and the data contained in the documents sent with the application may be stored and processed by Anton Paar GmbH in an applicant database for the purpose of coordinating, analyzing and processing the application.
The following data is collected and processed for the automated processing of your application:
- First name, surname, e-mail, place of residence, date of birth, title, telephone number, citizenship
- Additional questions depending on the respective job advertisement (e.g. driving licence)
- Education and professional background
- Qualifications, awards, language skills
- Application photo
- Curriculum vitae
- Letter of motivation
- Documents and files that you upload
- For minors: Contact details of the legal guardian
- Size information for work clothes
- Willingness to travel in per cent
Your personal data will be stored for as long as it is necessary in order to process your application and for as long as we are legally obliged to retain it. However, Anton Paar GmbH is not obliged to store your application data for a certain period of time and reserves the right to delete your application data at any time without further notice.
Please note that the above-mentioned types of data may also be transferred to us by employment agencies if you do not apply directly to Anton Paar.
As part of the online application process, we will never ask you to provide ‘sensitive data’, also known as special categories of personal data, such as religious beliefs, origin or political opinions. In the event that you provide such information unsolicited and voluntarily, you agree that we may process and use such data for the purposes set out above.
2. Use of your data
You also expressly agree that the data transmitted by you in the context of this online application may be forwarded to the relevant personnel managers within the Anton Paar Group for the purpose of personnel recruitment and processed/used within the above-mentioned framework. Depending on your application, this also applies to the possible transmission and transfer of data to affiliated companies located abroad (i.e. also companies located outside the European Union). The affiliated companies to which your application may be transferred can all be found on our Group website (www.anton-paar.com).
The above-mentioned recruiters and companies have been expressly obliged to maintain confidentiality. Irrespective of this, please note that the level of data protection in countries that are not members of the European Union may be lower than in the European Union.
3. Transfer of data to third parties
We will not pass on your personal data to external third parties (this expressly does not include the ‘affiliated companies’ listed above) without your consent. However, you agree that we may transfer your personal data to service providers or data processors (who may also be located abroad, including outside the European Union) who will process and manage this data on behalf of and for the specified purposes of the Anton Paar Group.
4. Automatic account creation
In case a user account is created as part of the application process, the corresponding login information will be sent to the email address provided in your application.. You can access your profile using the e-mail address you provided when you submitted your application. Each time you log in, a password will be sent to your registered e-mail address.
You have the right to have us correct incorrect data in your profile and update your information. You can also upload documents to supplement your application. Please note that uploading or entering illegal content or information is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to take legal action against you.
You can request to delete your profile or withdraw your application at any time. Please note, however, that your application will no longer be considered if you delete your profile.

5. Your rights regarding stored data
You have the right to information free of charge about which of your personal data we process, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. To assert these rights, please send an e-mail to dsgvo[at]anton-paar.com.
If you are of the opinion that we are processing your data contrary to applicable legal provisions, you are welcome to contact us at any time by e-mail dsgvo[at]anton-paar.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority or any other competent supervisory authority (in particular in the member state where you live or work).
