Joe Flow - So That Your Peltier Temperature Device Will Last as Long as Possible
You use a water-cooled temperature device with Peltier elements from Anton Paar? To be able to enjoy it for as long as possible, you should keep some things in mind.
The temperature device you have purchased can actively heat and cool due to incorporated Peltier elements. Depending on the design, temperatures from -40 °C to +200 °C and heating or cooling rates of up to 60 °C/min are possible. There are various Peltier temperature devices from Anton Paar. Please refer to the instruction manual for respective, possible temperature ranges.
How do Peltier elements work?
Peltier elements are thermoelectric elements. When direct current flows through a thermoelectric element, heat is transported from one side of the element to the other. One side becomes cold and the opposite side heats up. The temperature difference can be up to 73 °C for a single element and up to 100 °C for multi-stage elements.
