Material Brief: Concrete - Skeletal Density - Ultrapyc

A concrete patcher was analyzed using helium gas on the Ultrapyc 5000 to measure the skeletal density.

Concrete is one of the most commonly used manmade materials on earth, consisting of a binder (cement, bitumen), water, and aggregates (sand, gravel, limestone, granite). An important property of concrete is the skeletal density. The skeletal density can be used to control material quality from the raw powders to the formed final product and to convert the volume to mass when selling the product. The Anton Paar Ultrapyc 5000 was used to analyze concrete patcher and the skeletal density was determined.
