As the world market leader in density measurement, our pulse beats for density. We’re always striving to give you, the customer, ever greater measurement precision, even for budget-friendlier instruments. We are engaged in a relentless drive for perfection, we invest in advanced manufacturing, and we constantly challenge the limits of density measurement technology.
For three years now, we have been working on technological advancements that traverse frontiers, reinventing and reimagining the very heart of density measurement. In our brand-new Technology Center at Anton Paar Headquarters in Graz, Austria, we’ve refined our hydrostatic balance – the gold standard for density measurement – and built a special new in-house production unit to manufacture the pulse of every digital density meter: the borosilicate glass measuring sensor.
Anton Paar’s latest innovations in density measurement combine precision, usability, and intelligent design to deliver unmatched performance across the board.
Each component works in perfect harmony to ensure reliable results, maximum efficiency, and user-friendly handling – for you. From the core measuring cell to intelligent visual feedback and simplified workflows, every detail has been optimized for professional laboratory use. The following four key technologies represent the foundation of the new DMA series.
Discover how the optimized U-Tube, U-View, U-Pulse, and U-Dry redefine what is possible in modern density measurement – engineered by Anton Paar, the inventors of the first-ever digital density instrument.
U-Tube
The glass oscillating U-tubes, with unmatchable repeatability of 0.000001 g/cm³, are the heart of each DMA density meter. They are manufactured under strict quality control at Anton Paar’s headquarters in Graz. This means that every production step can be monitored and optimized, resulting in even lower production tolerances, which in turn deliver unmatched measurement performance.
U-View
The enhanced zoomable camera image U-View, together with the FillingCheck, which even detects microbubbles, ensures correctly filled samples – leading to results that you can rely on, 100 %. It has been further improved through more homogeneous illumination and higher resolution.
U-Pulse
The trusted pulsed excitation method delivers unmatched performance and sets new standards in density measurement. Further optimizations of the algorithm enhance stability and precision. The built-in reference oscillator guarantees drift-free measurement, leading to an accuracy of 0.000005 g/cm³.
U-Dry
The new one-touch drying of the measuring cell makes your measurement fast, simple, and efficient. With one hand movement, the air pump is automatically activated. Thanks to the integrated innovative syringe illumination, filling errors are easily detected before the sample is filled into the U-tube.

Beverages: key quality parameters covered
Measure the sugar concentration of syrups, soft drinks, and fruit juices; monitor fermentation; and determine the final alcohol content of your beer, wine, or spirits. Whether Plato, Brix, or volume percentage – your measurement system checks all key quality parameters.
Measure the density of samples like essential oils, perfumes, and raw materials to determine their purity. Preserve as much as possible of your expensive oils, by using samples of just 1 mL – enough to deliver all the results you need. Combine with other measuring parameters like refractive index and optical rotation to enable the fingerprinting of your sample.
Measure all types of samples – from LPG, to fuels, lubes, and crude oil – while meeting ASTM standards (D4052, D5002, D8188, D7777) and ISO 12185. Perform density measurements that put all of your trading on a reliable footing. Ensure supreme quality control for crude oil, fuels, and lubricants.
Measure density to assure consistent quality. Obtain deeper insight into your manufacturing processes to optimize your product. Prevent overfilling or underfilling of product packages. Comply with all regulations and requirements.
