Description

An 80 mL quartz vessel was charged with the substrates and the solvent. HCl was added and the vessel was sealed and immersed in the casing. The reaction vessels (4 or 8) were placed n the rotor and the rotor top plate was fixed with the screws. The rotor was closed with the lid an subjected to microwave irradiation.

Workup

After cooling the precipitate was filtered and washed with warm MeOH. The product was dissolved in THF and reprecipitated from MeOH.

Comments

The microwave process was compared to conventional heating and solid-phase synthesis.

The resulting copolymer was used to modify graphite electrodes for redox applications.
