Capillary flow porometry was used to evaluate the through pore size distribution of geotextile fabrics for environmental and industrial applications.
ASTM D676 outlines the procedures to evaluate geotextiles by capillary flow porometery. The largest through pore, determined by the bubble point of the capillary flow experiment, and through pore size distribution are described in ASTM F316 and F2450. The Porometer 3G complies with these international standards and was used to evaluate woven polyester-based geotextiles.
