Material Brief: Activated Carbon - Water Sorption - Autosorb 6100
Activated carbon was analyzed using H2O (293 K) adsorption on the Anton Paar Autosorb 6100
An important property of activated carbon, particularly when used for water purification or in other applications where humidity is present, is its water sorption capacity. In addition, the relative hydrophilicity of different materials can be determined by comparison of water sorption isotherms. The Anton Paar Autosorb 6100 was used to measure the water sorption isotherm on an activated carbon used for water filtration applications.
