Latex Reference Material for Zeta Potential

Polymer latex particles are useful for validation of zeta-potential measurements, as they are spherical, have a monomodal size distribution and are stable over time. The latex reference material used here is negatively charged, with a reported zeta potential of -42 mV (±10 %). Most samples for ELS are negatively charged, so this latex reference material is more useful than the NIST 1980 standard, which is a positively charged goethite material.
