An Insight into Particle Concentration Measurements
Determination of the particle concentration (PCON) via dynamic light scattering is a fast and straightforward measurement mode, which allows to determine the particles/ml of each population present within a dispersion. The Litesizer DLS 700 has the unique option to use both multi-angle particle sizing and “single-angle” DLS to measure the concentration.
The particle concentration (PCON) measurement mode determines the concentration in particles/ml using the recorded photon-count rate scattered in a certain time interval by the sample. Both, single angle DLS and multi-angle particle sizing (MAPS) can be used for the particle concentration measurements.
