This application report provides an introduction to the multi-angle particle sizing (MAPS) mode. Theoretical explanations supported by exemplary results help to understand the strengths as well as the challenges of the new DLS-based method.
Multi-angle particle sizing (MAPS) is an automatic DLS based measurement mode where three angles are measured one after the other by using a fixed focus position. The scattering information recorded at different detection angles are combined to generate a particle size distribution with improved peak resolution.
