ABA 500: FAM ILS Testing Program for Flash Points of Jet Fuel

ILS testing programs are valuable tools for laboratories and instrument manufacturers worldwide to conduct specified tests on the same material in accordance with the same test method and to compare the results.

This year, Anton Paar’s latest development in Abel flash point testing, ABA 500, was employed for the first time in the ILS testing program and convinced right from the start with excellent precision paired with outstanding usability.

ABA 500 offers premium technologies for high sample throughput, unique hybrid cooling options (operating the instrument with or without external chiller) an automatic motor-driven multi-function head, which allows the disassembly of wetted parts in seconds and last but not least the longest lasting encapsulated hot wire type electric igniter on the market.

The performance of the ABA 500 was found to be exceptional since the deviation of the ABA 500 test results (barometric pressure corrected values) from the ILS average is remarkably low as shown in this application report.
