Technical Sales Specialist

The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for direct sales of Anton Paar equipment and services by using scientific knowledge and engineering principles to sell highly complex measuring and laboratory instruments within the assigned territory. The Sales Specialist travels to customer sites to make sales presentations and conducts instrument demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.


  • Managing existing customers and generation of new accounts through prospecting, lead generation and follow up
  • Effective territory management and CRM utilisation
  • Negotiating and handling of sales projects 
  • Supporting customers in application and equipment evaluations
  • Participating at conferences and exhibitions
  • Supporting the development of marketing communications for your customers and territory
  • Visiting customer sites on a regular basis to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations and train customers on the correct use of their equipment
  • Working with other Anton Paar product groups to promote a complete solutions offering, combining our measurement portfolio with other product-lines, finding cross selling opportunities


  • Minimum BSc degree in a tech-related field (Electronics/Mechanics/Mechatronics engineering) or Physics/Chemistry/Agrochemicals/Food&Beverage/Material engineering
  • Additional business related education is an advantage
  • Technical sales experience in a similar environment - sales of high-value instruments - is an advantage 
  • Knowledge in the field of Rheology or other material characterization techniques is an advantage,
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good understanding of sales and service processes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Confident and accurate in handling a CRM system
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian is a must
  • Occasional travel abroad is required
