In four generations to a global company. CEO Friedrich Santner was awarded the “Special Generations Award”.

For the fifth time Ernst & Young (EY) honored a family-run company with the “Special Generations Award”: CEO Friedrich Santner accepted the award on behalf of Anton Paar GmbH, which looks back on almost 95 years of success.

The company has been managed by the family for four generations. In the meantime, Maria and Friedrich Santner's four children are also working for the company and the four grandchildren spend the mornings playing in the company's own nursery and kindergarten.

Today there are more than 2400 people working for Anton Paar around the globe. Around half of these are employed at the headquarters and largest production center in Graz. In 2015 Anton Paar had a turnover of 264 million euros. 93 percent of Anton Paar’s products are exported to more than 110 countries.

Ernst & Young (EY) began awarding the title of “Entrepreneur Of The Year“ in Austria in 2006. Over the last eleven years this competition has become an annual highlight for the Austrian business world.
