Beverage | Soft Drinks | Mass Flow Measurement in the Carbonated Soft Drink Production
Coriolis mass flowmeters play an essential role in enhancing the carbonated soft drink production process, as they monitor parameters such as sugar concentration, syrup-to-water ratio, and CO2 dosing in real-time. Thus, Anton Paar’s L-Cor 6000 contributes to consistent product quality, reduced waste, and overall process optimization, making it a perfect match for the beverage industry.
Introduction
The production of carbonated soft drinks (CSD) requires precise measurement and control of various parameters to ensure consistent product quality. One critical aspect of this process is accurate mass flow measurement, which influences factors such as flavor continuity, carbonation levels, and overall product characteristics. Anton Paar’s L-Cor flowmeter series offers a solution for meeting these requirements, contributing to the optimization of carbonated soft drink production process.
Anton Paar's L-Cor flowmeters
Anton Paar’s L-Cor flowmeters measure the mass flowrate based on the Coriolis effect. In addition to the mass flowrate, the density of a fluid is measured independently. These two quantities further allow the computation of the volume flowrate. Moreover, the density parameter allows to determine the concentration of a certain substance, which can be expressed in °Brix, based on the ICUMSA tables.
With these metrics, the L-Cor flowmeters can be used in a wide field of applications in the beverage industry.
