Handheld Raman Spectrometer:
Cora 100
- Quickly identify hazardous materials, narcotics, explosives, and chemical warfare agents in the field
- Verify goods with preinstalled or built-up libraries
- Results in seconds so you can take immediate action
- Fits in your hand and in your bag
Cora 100 is a small Raman analyzer which fits in your hand. It is ideal for point-and-shoot measurements to identify substances at the touch of a button. You can simply identify unknown samples such as hazardous materials, narcotics, explosives, and chemical warfare agents or verify incoming goods without being a trained chemist. The easy-to-use software and accessories enable you to assess the risks involved with substances in order to make life-saving decisions on the spot or in hot-zone environments.
Key features
Identifies the substance in seconds
Look, measure, and act – within seconds. The Cora 100 handheld Raman analyzer has one mission – identifying substances. You are neither a trained chemist nor a spectroscopy expert? No problem: With this portable spectrometer, the easy-to-use software, and accessories you have all you need to identify substances in stressful situations, hot-zone environments, or in the warehouse. You can operate the instruments with gloves and the 3.5’’ screen allows for easy reading in sunlight or rain. Cora 100 shows the result within seconds without complicated analysis, minimizing the time between risk assessment and action.
Fits in your hand and in your bag
Cora 100 is a real handheld Raman spectrometer with a small footprint of 16 cm x 10 cm x 3 cm and a weight of only 650 g. The Raman analyzer has successfully been tested according to military specifications, MIL-STD 810G, as well as European tests for dust and water, and is defined as “IP67 waterproof”. Cora 100 doesn’t care whether it is hot, cold, humid, wet, or dirty – the handheld spectrometer is built for operation in the field and can be used in harsh conditions (between -20 °C and +40 °C).
All the chemistry you need
Cora 100 has inbuilt chemical intelligence. Spectral databases stored in the Raman analyzer quickly identify hazardous materials, narcotics, explosives, and chemical warfare agents. The result gives you more than a cryptic chemical name, it also tells you whether a substance is listed or regulated, or a known precursor of such a compound. Additionally, CAS numbers and safety data are provided. For increased customization you can easily create your own personal library and add new spectra if required.
Be well-equipped – the right accessories for every situation
Cora 100 comes with a point- and-shoot adapter, a vial holder, and a 90° angled sampling adapter. These accessories allow you to measure through transparent plastic bags or glass so you can keep dangerous substances safely sealed. With the angled adapter you can position the Raman spectrometer anywhere on the sample and thereby perform hands-off measurements. The combined use of the built-in timer and the hands-off measurement is ideal when investigating potentially explosive substances.
The Raman spectrometer that speaks your language
The desktop software “Cora 100 Connect” gives you easy device management in your native language. It provides the necessary tools for library development, data storage and transfer as well as method and user management and means you can manage your measurements, spectra, and reports across your organization.
The Cora 100 Raman analyzer and its PC software are available in English as a standard. Spanish, Mandarin, French, and German are available optionally. Further languages are available upon request.
