Description | Step 1: The calcium precursor was dissolved together with CTAB as surfactant in 30 mL water. The hydrogenphosphate was separately dissolved in 30 mL water and the pH was adjusted with hydroxylamine to 10. This solution was added dropwise under stirring to the calcium solution. An aliquot (20 mL) was filled in a G30 vial and was subjected to microwave irradiation. Step 2: Silver nitrate was added to the dispersion of the hydroxyapatite nanorods in 50 mL water and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 min. An aliquot (max. 20 mL) was filled in a G30 vial and was subjected to microwave irradiation. |
Workup | Step 1: The precipitate was centrifuged, washed with water and calcined at 550 °C. Step 2: The precipitate was centrifuged, washed with water and dried at 50 °C |
Comments | The morphology was characterized by FESEM, HRTEM and XRD. The resulting nanomaterial was evaluated adsorption properties and antibacterial activity. |
