Glass Transition Temperature Analysis of Carbon Fiber
Relevant for: Thermal Analysis, Linear Measuring Drive, DMA, Carbon Fiber Reinforced Composites
Carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) are widely used in advanced applications due to their high stiffness and strength. Therefore, the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the matrix resin is crucial for defining the composite’s overall thermal and mechanical limits. In this study, a temperature ramp test was conducted using a Linear Drive MCR in three-point bending (TPB) mode to identify Tg. The results demonstrate that the Linear Drive 20 (LD20) can provide reliable data for evaluating thermal transitions in CFRP materials
