Determination of the Glass Transition Temperature of Polymer Powders
Thermal Analysis, Linear Measuring Drive, DMA, Powder, Glass Transition Temperature
Polymer powders are the feedstock of choice for many different polymer types and are found in a wide variety of industries. Understanding the properties of polymer powders, such as flowability, cohesion and effective internal friction angle, is important to ensure proper processing. These properties can be related to the thermomechanical state of the polymer, so knowledge of thermomechanical behavior is crucial. This application report shows how the thermomechanical properties of powders can be characterized by DMA using the Powder Pocket.
