Concentration measurement of syrup & final beverages without sugar (diet non-alcoholic beverages)

Non-alcoholic beverages contain sucrose or artificial sweeteners – sometimes also a mixture of them. Determining the concentration of soft drinks and ready-to-drinks (RTDs) that contain sugar is very easy with density measurements. In comparison, concentration measurements of diet drinks made with mainly artificial sweeteners are more challenging. Anton Paar DMA density meters or combined density and sound velocity meters make both an easy task.

Measuring the diet concentration is not an easy task and traditional lab reference methods have some drawbacks, such as measurement time or needed chemicals. The Anton Paar DMA density meters or combined density and sound velocity meters are the perfect solution because:

  • They reduce the need for time-consuming lab reference methods.
  • The instruments offer special software features for the measurement of the diet concentration.
  • The amount of chemicals needed for traditional lab reference methods can be reduced to a minimum.
  • The influence of different skilled operators is minimized.
  • Other relevant parameters can be measured to offer production efficiency (CO2, O2, pH).
