Pulse titration (Part 2): The return of H2
This report focuses on experimental parameters influencing metal titration, though most trends also apply to other pulse titrations. The goal is to guide users in their optimization and highlight some underestimated pitfalls.
In a previous report, the effect of experimental parameters on pulse titration results using an empty cell was investigated to isolate sample-independent phenomena. In this report, sample-dependent effects are investigated related to the presence of inert material, hydrogen-covered catalyst, and hydrogen-accepting catalyst. While a specific catalyst was used for this demonstration and hydrogen was taken as a model, the general trends described apply to most cases of pulse titration.
