Improving the Ultrasonic Welding Process of Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a thermoplastic polymer that can be processed in a wide variety of ways. Despite its many advantages, processing can also be challenging if, for example, the water content is too high. In this application report, we demonstrate how the Anton Paar portfolio interlocks for the optimization of injection-molded parts.

In this application report, we demonstrate that the moisture content of the polymer significantly influences its properties and production process. By utilizing the Aquatrac-V, we enhance product quality through adjustments in the manufacturing process.
