Demonstrating accuracy and speed of BET surface area using Nitro ReGen Mode

An evaluation of four different International Standard Reference materials over a wide range of surface areas was performed by enabling Nitro ReGen Mode (no gas) on a Nova 600 instrument. BET surface area results were in specification and were completed in analysis times equivalent to results obtained using NOVA Mode.

Four different international reference materials were selected for analysis using Nitro ReGen Mode with the goal of assessing the accuracy in the surface area data and demonstrating equivalency in
data and analysis time when compared to the NOVA Mode. The materials, all different in nature and processing, were selected for the wide range of surface area values from 5.4 m2/g to 1396 m2/g. BET surface area results were in specification and were completed in analysis times equivalent to results obtained using NOVA Mode.
