Anton Paar Australia Pty Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Austrian company Anton Paar GmbH. Anton Paar develops and produces state-of-the-art laboratory and process instrumentation for research and industry. It is the world leader in the measurement of density, concentration and dissolved CO2 and in the field of Rheology.
Responsibilities:
The Field Service Engineer provides on-site and in-house preventative maintenance, calibration and repairs on scientific measurement instruments. The position is also responsible for providing technical assistance to customers as well as identifying and forwarding sales opportunities. You will work in the field and be closely connected to our office in Sydney, NSW where the central support functions and administration are located.
- Providing overall technical support to our customers predominately in South Australia and occasionally across Australia
- Performing maintenance, calibration and repair of our instruments onsite and in-house
- Providing support to our customers via telephone and email
- Giving customer training on proper use and maintenance of Anton Paar instruments
- Collaborating with other business areas for the achievement of the company’s objectives
- Using and maintaining our CRM system (SAP) to provide information and reporting
- Supporting the sales of service contracts

Requirements:
- Background in Engineering, Mechanics and/or Electronics or other relevant experience
- Skills in the use of measuring instruments and hand tools
- Ability on prioritising workload
- Problem solver with creative ability
- Proven experience in customer service
- A can-do attitude
- Proactive, responsible and organised behaviour
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Willingness to travel to our customers on short notice across Australia
- Occasional overseas travel for training
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Valid driver’s license AND a suitable vehicle in good condition
- Valid visa and work rights for Australia
