Software Developer C#/.NET (f/m/x) with Willingness to Work Abroad

Anton Paar develops high-precision measuring instruments for laboratories worldwide. Software is a core component of our products. In this position, you work on desktop and web applications based on C#/.NET with direct connectivity to our instruments. You support the development process from new concepts through to the enhancement of existing systems and collaborate closely with firmware, product management, QA, and UX.
Responsibilities:
- Development and further enhancement of software components for laboratory instruments based on C#/.NET
- Implementation of desktop applications using WPF (MVVM) as well as web components with ASP.NET Blazor
- Contribution to design and architectural decisions, depending on experience and interest
- Development of modern and maintainable user interfaces
- Writing of readable, testable code, including automated tests
- Regular participation in code reviews and technical exchange within the team
- Working in an agile development process using Git, CI/CD, and common collaboration tools
Your profile:
- Explicit willingness to undertake a multi-year international assignment as an expatriate (1–3 years) at one of our international subsidiaries (Germany, Switzerland, or the USA) after approximately one year of onboarding in Graz
- Completed higher technical education or practical experience in software development
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming with C#/.NET
- Experience with and interest in WPF/MVVM and/or ASP.NET Blazor
- Understanding of clean, maintainable codebases and clear software design
- Experience in building clear and user-friendly user interfaces
- Very good English skills, written and spoken (C1/C2 level)
- German skills, written and spoken, are an advantage
- Team spirit and willingness to grow professionally
- Structured working style and a strong sense of responsibility for code quality and maintainability
- Juniors grow into the role with us; seniors contribute additional experience in architecture and technical decision-making.

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is € 3.000 (based on full-time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring.
